Growing up, I found myself trying to fit into a lot of labels, identities as well as social conforms….which also dictated the way I’m supposed to think, act and behave. â£â£

Society asks that we can only be one or the other at a time, and that we only have one box to put all of our sh*t together. â£â£

With all these identities to choose from— I wanted so much to belong and hold onto, attaching myself to all the different labels I could find to embody who I was. As time went on, the box just felt tighter and tighter. â£â£

I’ve tried defining myself as a teacher but it just didn’t feel right. I’m more like a guide, as well as a student. I’m an artist but also a writer. Some days I love coffee with almond milk and on some days I love it black. Just like most days I love men but on some days I love women a little more. I consider myself neither white, black, asian or hispanic. I’m human.â£â£

Without having any boxes or labels to confine ourselves to, people get uncomfortable and uneasy. There is a sense of attachment created to a belonging, the kind of wanting and needing to be recognized for who we are. Our society greatly limits us from experiencing our true divinity— that is, we are all multidimensional beings and our power is beyond measure. None of these labels can truly embody the entirety of who we are as we explore into our depth, our vastness. â£â£

We can try to “fit†into things but the body always knows. When we feel “stuck†or “trapped,†these are the first sensations, the body’s messaging that remind us we are so much bigger than what the world wants us to be. What if we are truly limitless? What if our ideas can truly create a better world for tomorrow? What if confining ourselves into this box, greatly limits our true potential of expansion and growth?â£â£
