When I was very young, between the ages of 7-13, I was sleep walking A LOT. â£

In the middle of the night, I would often find myself halfway down the stairs (I know… howthef*?) standing in my mother’s bedroom or sitting on the couch. I don’t recall much of it other than regaining consciousness, and being confused to why I wasn’t in bed. After so many years, it makes me wonder how I ever managed to not hurt myself from either falling down two flights of stairs or tripping over toys. 🤣â£

Today I am reminded of this childhood memory, as I blindfolded myself in my practice. Proprioception, or kinaesthesia, is one of the words they use to describe the sense of Self and Body in space. Science tells us we’re only just now beginning to understand this “sixth sense” and how, if fully utilized, can be more powerful than any of our five known senses.â£

For me, proprioception is an ‘out of mind’ experience. It is an exploration of the Self. It exists in a subtle field, like aether that is always there, and can only be felt in the heart. When we can withdraw our senses, we begin to tune into a world that reintroduces you to your body and all of its parts, while strengthening inner knowing and body clairvoyance. â£

As humans, we have forgotten the inherit and native language the soul speaks, which does not require the sense of touch, sight, taste, smell or even sound. What if the way we’ve been sensing the world greatly limits us, and that our true power lies in our ability to FEEL MORE. â£

Without our senses, would we cease to exist? â£ðŸ’¡

📖 Day 3/100: â£
Try this today. Blindfold yourself and find ways to move on your mat in any way that feels good to you. â£

How do you feel after your practice? What did you learn about your body? â£
